Don’t Forget to Reflect

It’s been a good year here at Quadrid. There’s lots to celebrate (not to mention the excitement of an upcoming shoot in East Africa!).

As we approach a new year, it’s good to take stock of what we accomplished this past year. In our last post, I mentioned that “passion is never satisfied” with what you’ve accomplished. But who says we can’t try.

Here are some of our prouder moments this year.

We Won a Telly Award

According to their own site, “The Telly Awards honors the very best film & video productions, groundbreaking online video content, and outstanding local, regional, & cable tv commercials and programs.”

Between 2001 and 2008, We won 6 bronze and 1 silver (silver is highest award). After that, we stopped submitting videos, doing work we weren’t particularly
proud of.

This year, we won our second silver Telly for “Inspiration in the Darkness” an artist spotlight for KLP Fine Art.

It was a great delight to not only be awarded a Telly, but to receive their highest honor, especially with a video in our niche after our shift in direction.

More Time for Tara!

For those of you who don’t know Tara, she’s Quadrid’s Project Manager.

When Tara and I first connected over the summer of 2014, I knew right away that she was a great fit for the project manager role I’d envisioned. Unfortunately, she was a year ahead of my schedule and budget.

Working out a plan, Tara started small at just six hours a week. As her first year progressed, so did she, slowly increasing her role to a more respectable
20 hours a week.

Tara has been critical to Quadrid’s success this year, as we’ve upped our game. Personally, she helped me navigate stressful project and business details. It’s nice moving into a new year, knowing that I can trust Tara to help me tackle the difficult work of growing a business.

So Many Projects in Our Niche

If 2014 was the year of figuring out our niche then 2015 was the year of going into it full steam.
We worked with so many great folks this year and are finally proud to showcase our work that we want to call a few out by name.

Raving Clients

It’s nice to hear good things about our work. It’s even nicer when it comes from our clients.

Our clients have always had good things to say, but we’ve never really known what to do with those accolades. Now that the we’re looking back (and ahead), it’s seems appropriate to take stock of those things we’re doing well.

Here are a couple things people have said that still gets us tickled

  • “[Quadrid] really listened to us and captured our story with a video that was of top notch quality. They were on time, on budget, and on point. ”
    McCauley Farms
  • “[Quadrid] listened and pulled out all that is important to us and choreographed a fluid presentation of a day in the life for us. We are very pleased with their work, impressed by how in tune they were to our values, and certainly look forward to doing another video with them.”
